CA Reciprocity Examination Results2011 Chartered Accountancy PART-1 On behalf of its 35,000 members, the Institute congratulates the Applicants who were successful on Part-1 of the 2011 Chartered Accountancy Reciprocity Examination (Part-1 of the CARE). In Ontario, there were 55 successful Applicants. In all of Canada there were 111 successful Applicants. Part-1 of the CARE is the means by which the provincial and territorial CA Institutes/Ordre measure the professional competence, in a Canadian context, of members of accounting bodies outside Canada (Applicants) assessed by the International Qualifications Appraisal Board as having education, examination and experience requirements substantially equivalent to the Canadian CA qualification program. Part-1 of the CARE examines Applicants on their knowledge of Canadian taxation, Canadian business law and the CA profession's rules of professional conduct for certification as a CA in Canada. On the day of the release of the results, the Institute sends each Applicant an official letter confirming his or her result on Part-1 and Part-2 of the CARE by regular mail, along with a summary report on the examination and marking process. Should there be a discrepancy between the result posted on this web page and the result stated in the official confirmation letter sent by mail, the official confirmation letter shall be considered correct. The names of the consenting successful Applicants on Part-1 of the CARE in Ontario are:
Please note that membership in the Institute does not automatically qualify an Applicant who is successful on Part-1 of the CARE for a public accounting licence and that the need for a licence depends upon the nature of the work that one intends to do as a CA. Questions related to the additional requirements for certification as a CA in Canada and for licensure as a Public Accountant in Ontario should be directed to Customer Service at 416-969-4322 by phone, or customerservice@icao.on.ca by e-mail. Questions related to the examination itself should be directed to Dominique Charles Lecocq, CA, Associate Director of Education, at 416-962-1841 ext. 246 by phone, or at dlecocq@icao.on.ca by e-mail.
