The CA: A Distinguished International Qualification

Ontario's chartered accountants are recognized throughout the world for high professional standards, competence and integrity. At present, some 2,000 CAs from Ontario are working in over 100 countries. A significant percentage of Ontario's over 32,000 CAs are in public practice, with partnerships that have worldwide affiliations. The CA program is designed to ensure that tomorrow's CAs will continue to enjoy worldwide professional prominence.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, ICAO, is a designated body authorized to license members who have fulfilled the requirements established by the Public Accounting Act, 2004 and the PAC Standards. The primary objective of the ICAO's CA education program is to develop accountants on whom the public can rely. At the same time, the program also ensures that chartered accountants are qualified to play leading roles in a variety of fields, such as business, industry, government and education.
