2012 Annual General Meeting


2012 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in Toronto, commencing at 4:30 p.m., at the offices of the Institute located at 69 Bloor Street East, Toronto, for the purposes, as set out in Bylaw 5.1, of:

  • hearing and receiving financial reports and statements for the year ended February 29, 2012, and the report of the auditor thereon;
  • electing eight Members of the Council;
  • appointing the auditor for the year ending February 28, 2013 and authorizing the Council to fix the remuneration therefor;
  • presenting the Bylaw of 2012, passed by the Council, for approval; and
  • transacting such other business as may properly be brought before the meeting.

 

COUNCIL ELECTION

At the 2012 Annual General Meeting, the Members elected the following Members to Council:

  • Arnie Bose, CA
  • Marrianne Bridge, FCA
  • Anita Ferrari, FCA
  • Christie E. Henderson, CA
  • Delna Madon, CA
  • Alan T. Mak, CA
  • Robert C. Scullion, FCA
  • John Wright, CA

These Members join the following Members and public representatives to form the 2012-2013 Council:

  • Georgina Daniels, CA
  • Ginny Dybenko, public representative
  • Tim Kennish, public representative
  • Mary Lou Maher, FCA

At the first meeting of the 2012-2013 Council, the Council Members elected officers of the Institute for the next year:

BYLAW OF 2012

Bylaw of 2012, having been earlier passed by the Council, was presented to the Members at the Annual General Meeting.  The Members voted to approve the Bylaw.  An explanatory note and complete text of the Bylaw of 2012, and amendments to the Council Interpretations are available on the Institute’s website.

ANNUAL REPORT

The Institute’s annual report, including the report of the Chair on behalf of the Council, and a summary of the audited financial statements for the year ended February 29, 2012, is available electronically on the Institute's website at www.icao.on.ca. A printed copy of the annual report may be obtained by contacting the Institute.
