Member Assistance

The Institute provides assistance to members in interpreting the Rules of Professional Conduct, as well as an independent, confidential counselling service to help promote the well-being of CAs, CA students and their immediate families.

Member Advisory/ Ethics Counselling

Confidential and informal telephone conversations regarding the Institute's Rules of Professional Conduct are provided free of charge to members and students.

CA-Assist

Confidential, independent, professional counselling services are offered to members, students and their immediate families at reduced rates.

Access to newsletters and internet resources is offered free of charge by Shepell·fgi.

Shepell·fgi also provides an extensive and evolving range of wellness seminars that focus on behavioural change through increased awareness about topics that have implications on the personal, emotional and physical well-being of employees.

Recent member surveys have identified work life balance as a top priority.  An advisory committee has been formed to promote a culture within the chartered accountancy profession that is known for work life flexibility. 

Recent member surveys have identified work life balance as a top priority.  An advisory committee has been formed to address the work life flexibility issues facing our members.  The mission of this advisory committee is to promote a culture within the chartered accountancy profession that is known for work life flexibility.  It will do so by creating clarity about the unique issues that encourage or prevent work life balance / flexibility, by providing current information on the unique issues in a very useable and informative way for members in practice and by engaging CICA leadership, business and industry, small firm interests to support the mission.
