Free CA Tax Clinics
Free CA Tax Clinics Volunteers
Background
The Institute’s Free CA Tax Clinic program began in Metro Toronto in 1969 as a pilot project involving 500 clients. This year, over 1,700 CAs and CA Students helped prepare over 12,800 tax returns, but we can still do even more to meet the need in our communities.
The clinics operate primarily in conjunction with a variety of agencies – including community centres, senior centres and homes, social service agencies, food banks, libraries, and hospitals. An agency co-sponsor that is a registered charity will receive an honorarium from the Institute, based on the number of returns completed, which will help the agency carry out its valuable work.
