Student Resume Portal

Looking to Hire? Visit the Student Resume Portal to view University Associate Student Resumes

In today’s competitive market, it can be challenging both for firms seeking CA students as well as for students trying to secure employment.   As such, the Student Resume Portal was created to help connect our CA Training Offices (CATO) with University Associate Students who are interested in employment.

We expect this portal to be particularly helpful for the small and medium size CATOs in their student recruitment efforts.  The CATOs will be able to connect with students from all regions in Ontario as the resume portal is designed to search for students by the candidate’s preferred location of employment. Please note that while some of the students have previous experience with a CATO, the majority will not.

All resumes can be accessed through the

Firm Secure Area

Additional information regarding the portal is noted below.

Timeline

Purge – Once posted, a student resume will remain on the site for 30 days at which time it will automatically be removed.   All Students will receive an email to inform them and remind them to repost their resume if they are still looking for employment.  The entire portal will be purged on August 31st.

Successful candidates – Should you be interested in a candidate, please contact him/her directly.  Candidates who gain employment have been asked to remove their resumes from the site.  As their new employer, a reminder to do so would be much appreciated.

Responsibility

Please note that the ICAO is simply a facilitator in the job search process and is not responsible for the resumes posted on the portal.   Once prospective hires have been identified, it is the responsibility of the employer to obtain any additional information such as a copy of university transcripts in order to verify courses taken to date and the overall Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved.  A minimum GPA of ‘B-‘ in the 17 required courses (51 credit hours) is needed to be eligible to register in the ICAO Professional Program, the Core Knowledge Exam and the School of Accountancy.

Good luck with your search!
