A written request should be sent to customer service at custserv@icao.on.ca  including the name of the Chartered Accountant and the current address.   There is no charge for this letter and the request will be responded to within 1 week.

Transcript

A transcript is an official record of education and experience history with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. It summarizes the educational professional program components, the prescribed practical experience completed and, if applicable provides the date of admission to membership.

You may request to have a transcript sent directly to a third party. Or, you may request a personal copy of your transcript that will be stamped “Issued to Student” and placed in a sealed envelope.   To order a transcript, complete the Transcript Request Form.   Transcripts with member join dates post 1996 typically take five to ten business days.   All other transcripts can take ten to fifteen business days to process.

The cost for an active CA student or CA member transcript is $15.75 ($15.00 + $0.75 GST).  The cost for a non-active CA student or CA member transcript is $105.00 ($100.00 + $5.00 GST).  Four copies of the transcript will be provided.

Access to records

Students may login to the website to review and update their profile at any time.  The detailed demographic information displayed during the annual student fees renewal process and during examination registrations reflects the student’s particulars in the Institute records as at the date indicated with each application.   The record should be reviewed carefully to ensure accuracy.   Upon written request, hard copy of the student’s file will be provided for no cost.  Ten to fifteen business days are required.

Tax Receipts

Official receipts for income tax purposes covering tuition fees paid for qualifying courses, annual fees and exams taken during the preceding calendar year are available online in late February. In accordance with section 118.5 of the Income Tax Act, T2202A receipts are issued to students attending the full school of accountancy. Materials and administrative fees are not eligible for tax deduction.
