Within its larger program of university accounting education support, the Institute has established the Centre for the Advancement of Accounting Education. The Centre's objective is to foster the development and exchange of leading-edge ideas in accounting education through symposia/workshops that will promote interaction among Ontario university accounting academics, the Institute and other parties interested in CA education, such as those involved in research and education in CA firms.

Ordinarily, each Ontario university is invited to send up to two representatives who are Faculty Colleagues and have demonstrated expertise or interest in the subject of the symposium. Participation is conditional upon each university's participant(s) providing a one-to-two page description of his/her relevant experience. This information is shared with all participants, usually prior to the symposium.
