Faculty Colleague Program

The Faculty Colleague Program was developed as part of the Institutes four-part program to strengthen CA profession support for full-time accounting faculty and accounting programs in Ontario universities in early 1996. Available to full-time accounting faculty at Ontario Universities, the program has over 200 participants.

Program Benefits:

PD Passports - provides two days of complimentary professional development courses to faculty colleagues, plus unlimited additional courses at half-price.

In addition, program members are provided access to our web site in order to obtain the Virtual Professional Library (VPL) downloads, including the CICA Handbook.  Faculty colleagues also receive the latest editions of ICAOs Checkmark. CAmagazine is sent directly from the CICA.

Participation in the program also provides an opportunity to participate in symposia/workshops offered through the Institutes Centre for the Advancement of Accounting Education (CAAE). Normally,  one or two symposia/workshops are offered annually.

Participation also helps in keeping abreast with what's going on in CA education. For example, the ICAO Professional Program Releases are distributed directly to all faculty colleagues.

This program is free of charge and we continue to look for new ways to enhance the benefits of participation.
