The Institute offers a number of programs - a CKE Preparation Program, a SOA/UFE Preparation Program, a SOA Tune-up! and a UFE Finalist Program; and two self-study publications - The CKE Guide, and The CICA Handbook Guide.  These programs and self-study publications are available to supplement your personal study program for the Core-Knowledge Examination (CKE), the School of Accountancy (SOA) end-of-school examinations (ESE) and/or Uniform Evaluation (UFE).  

CKE Preparation Program

The CKE Preparation Program is a comprehensive ten-day program that covers the Specific Competencies defined in "The UFE Candidates' Competency Map" that are examined on the CKE.  The program is designed to help you prepare for the CKE through a review of technical material, short problems and multiple-choice questions.  As part of the program, you can purchase a set of two practice examinations that come with solutions to allow you to assess your own performance. Students not able to attend the course may choose the "Materials Only" option.

SOA/UFE Preparation Program

The SOA/UFE Preparation Program is a six-day program that is specifically designed to help you develop the professional judgement and case writing and integration skills that are essential to be successful at the School and the UFE.  As part of the program, you can purchase a practice SOA examination that will be marked by experienced markers.  The markers will provide you with feedback to help you improve your performance. Students not able to attend the course may choose the "Materials Only" option.

SOA Tune-Up!

The SOA Tune-Up is a two-day pre-SOA program that focuses on simulation-writing techniques, and on the fundamental CICA Handbook (Accounting and Assurance) topics and their application in responding to business scenarios presented on the SOA practice and final examinations.  The program is positioned immediately prior to the SOA to provide maximum timely benefit in preparing for the SOA.

UFE Finalist Program

The UFE Finalist Program is a ten-day course that demonstrates reading, planning, and response-writing skills and allows you to develop them for the UFE.  It includes two practice papers that will be marked by experienced markers.  This program provides a key element in the final steps of preparing for UFE success.

Self-Study Publications

Two self-study publications, authored by Mick Norgrove, are available to help you prepare for the CKE, the School of Accountancy, and the UFE.  These publications are revised and updated annually.
