Encryption

Netscape users will see a closed padlock on the toolbar when encryption security (SSL) is activated. Microsoft Internet Explorer users will see a closed padlock icon in the lower right hand corner. Your browser must support the industry standard of 128-bit encryption. You may check whether your browser supports this by:

Internet Explorer - for most versions click on Help on the browser menu bar, and choose "About Internet Explorer". The level of encryption support is usually defined on the second line entitled "Cipher Strength".

Netscape - click on the "Security" Button on the browser screen, choose Navigator, and confirm SSL configurations include 128-bit encryption.

Additional help and upgrading information can be found at Microsoft's Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack site and Netscape's Download site respectively.
