The Institute building, at 69 Bloor Street East, is located in the heart of Toronto, and is easily accessible by all types of transportation.

Public Transit

Subway: From the Yonge/University/Spadina subway line, exit at Bloor Station; from the Bloor/Danforth line, exit at Yonge Station. Leave the station using Bloor Street south exit, turning right when you exit onto Bloor Street.

Train via Union Station: Union subway station is linked to Union Station. Take the subway northbound on the Yonge line to Bloor. Alternatively, taxi stands are located outside the station.

Car

Points North: Take Hwy 400 south. Exit to Hwy 401 east to Don Valley Pkwy (DVP) south. Take the Bayview/Bloor exit off the DVP. At the end of the exit road, take the left fork up the hill for Bloor Street. At the stop sign at the top of the hill, turn left on to Castlefrank, and then right onto Bloor Street. Follow Bloor Street to 69 Bloor Street East.

Points East: Take Hwy 401 west to Don Valley Pkwy (DVP) south. Take the Bayview/Bloor exit off the DVP. At the end of the exit road, take the left fork up the hill for Bloor Street. At the stop sign at the top of the hill, turn left in front of the Castlefrank subway station, and then right onto Bloor Street. Follow Bloor Street West to 69 Bloor Street East.

Points West: Take Hwy 401 east to Hwy 427 south. Follow Hwy 427 south to the Gardiner Expressway eastbound (Toronto bound), and exit at Yonge St. Follow the ramp, and go north on Yonge Street to Bloor Street (turning restrictions may be in force).

Points Southwest (Niagara/Hamilton region): Take the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) east. The QEW becomes the Gardiner Expressway. Take the Gardiner off ramp at Yonge St. northbound to Bloor Street (turning restrictions may be in force).

Parking: Parking facilities are available within close proximity, including on Charles, Church and Bloor, and in back of the Bay (see the maps above). Limited meter parking can be found on Hayden Street, outside of rush hour.

From the Airports

Pearson International Airport: If travelling by rental car, follow the "Points West" directions above. Travelers can also opt for other services including taxi, limousine, GO or TTC bus service and subway. Travel times vary between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on time of day.

Toronto City Centre Airport (Island Airport): Air Ontario offers a bus service to/from the Royal York Hotel depot at Front and Bay. From the hotel walk to Union subway station. Take the subway northbound on the Yonge line to Bloor Station. Alternatively, taxi stands are located outside of the station.
