Students given opportunity to win ¢OINCut-off date for eligibility approaching swiftlyToronto, Ontario (February 15, 2005) - High school students from across Ontario are being given a chance to compete for prize money in ¢OIN: The Ontario CA Challenge, but the March 22 cut-off for eligibility is fast approaching. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario holds this annual competition to give students considering a career as a Chartered Accountant the opportunity to compete, have fun and earn some cash prizes. To be eligible for ¢OIN, a student must become a member of the Institute's Associate Student Program by March 8, 2006, then register by fax, mail or on-line by March 22 at 5 p.m. In the competition, they will answer a 75-question, multiple-choice test at the premises of a participating CA firm on May 9. All of the participants receive a certificate of participation and a chance to find out more about the exciting opportunities offered by a career in Chartered Accounting. The first place prize provincially is $1,500, with second place getting $1,000 and third collecting $500, with rest of the top 20 Honour Roll members each receiving $100 and an invitation to the awards luncheon. There are also separate $100 prizes and certificates of achievement for the top students from each of the 23 CA District Associations across the province.
