Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario elects 2009-2010 governing CouncilCouncil membership includes strong regional representationToronto (June 22, 2009) – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario announced the election of its 2009-2010 governing Council at its Annual General Meeting on June 18. Six new members were either elected or re-elected to the Council. "The CA profession is in the forefront of our province’s economy, with unprecedented opportunities, challenges and demands," said Gerald Mills, FCA, Chair of the Institute. “Our renewed Council brings together top Chartered Accountants with a wide range of experience and expertise. We believe this team will help further build and strengthen the CA designation and our profession’s contribution to Ontario’s prosperity.” The Council boasts a cross-section of business and community leaders from communities across Ontario, including Aurora, Cornwall, London, Mississauga, Oakville, Richmond Hill, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Waterloo.
