The Controllership Program

The Controllership Program is the definitive program for aspiring or new Controllers, and for experienced Controllers who wish to refresh their base skills and knowledge.

The program is two parts - combining the core technical and operational skills: Operational Skills, along with the people and project management skills and Management Competencies, that provide the foundation for success for Controllers.

Upon completion of both elements participants will receive the Institute’s Controllership Program Certificate of Completion.  There is no particular order in which the two programs must be completed as both programs focus on separate and distinct skills.

Operational Skills

The June offering has now sold out.  A limited number of spaces are still available for July and October.  You are advised to register as soon as possible in order to secure a spot in the program and date of your choice, or to be added to the June waitlist.

What Previous Participants Have Said

The best promotion we can think of are testimonials from your colleagues, members of the ICAO, who have previously attended this course. Here is what the alumni of this particular program have to say about it:
  • "I took away ideas from here that can be useful to my organization and set me apart as well."
  • "I came to the course not really sure if I was doing things that a controller should be doing. I learned that everyone has questions and may not know everything about accounting but that’s okay as long as you’re willing to learn"
  • "It has reminded me to look to improve and add value to a company, not just doing day to day job."
  • "Session encourages to go beyond “compliance” to be more valuable to organization"
  • “Excellent speaker who engages the audience, made otherwise routine topics very interesting, and did a good job of initiating thinking outside the box.”
  • “I picked up numerous tips and items that I will take back and implement right away in my role as controller. The course has been very beneficial to me.”
