Controllership – Management Competencies
The Controllership Program - Mgmt Competencies
The Controllership Program is the definitive program for aspiring or new Controllers, and for experienced Controllers who wish to refresh their base skills and knowledge.
The Controllership Program is comprised of two parts: Operational Skills and Management Competencies. The Operational Skills program focuses on the technical aspects; and Management Competencies program focuses on people skills and leadership.
Upon completion of both Operational Skills and Management Competencies participants will receive the Institute’s Controllership Program Certificate of Completion. There is no particular order in which the programs should be taken.
Sunday, May 26 - Wednesday, May 29, 2013
Sunday, October 27 - Wednesday, October 30, 2013
Organizations with skilful leadership consistently outperform those with less effective management. As a result, controllers and other senior level accounting professionals are increasingly called upon to demonstrate their ability to lead people and understand the processes that are intimately tied to human resources management.
This program is designed to help controllers with today’s greater emphasis on people management, and will help you: improve your coaching and supervisory skills, develop your team-building and networking skills, hone your presentation skills, and enhance your personal development.
Who Should Attend
Are you responsible for leading people? Are you expected to incorporate human resource skills into your role? Financial professionals who want to develop and improve their management and leadership contributions will benefit from this program.
The program uses a combination of presentations, discussions and case studies during three-plus days to develop your in-depth understanding in the following areas:
Coaching & Supervision Skills
Team Building Skills
Presentation Skills for Accountants
