PD Passports


PASSPORT PRICING: YOUR PASSPORT TO PD

CPA Ontario is committed to helping all members meet their continuing professional development (CPD) needs in a convenient, cost-effective manner with a PD Passport. Completing a Personal PD passport each year will fulfil your CPD requirement as a CPA and save you more than $450!

2015 PD Passports are valid for courses taking place up to December 31, 2015. Events that are not eligible for passport pricing will be marked on all materials but PD Passport holders may be entitled to special discounts. Any remaining unused days CANNOT be carried over to 2016.

2016 PD Passports may be purchased now but are only valid for courses that take place between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.

Personal PD Passport

Attend any combination of half-day, one-day, or two-day seminars that add up to three days of PD for $810 ($840 in 2016), plus HST — a savings of more than $450. Certificate, executive programs or conferences are not eligible for PD Passports unless specified on the registration page.

Once a CPA purchases a passport, it is captured as credit on their account at the PD Event Registration Portal . 2015 Passports are valid for courses taken up to December 31, 2015 and cannot be extended beyond their expiry date. 

2016 PD Passports may be purchased now for $840 + HST but are only valid for courses that take place between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016 (that is, you may purchase the passport now - in 2015, and register for programs taking place in 2016).

Organization PD Passport

Designed for organizations and firms interested in purchasing PD for more than one staff member, the Organization PD Passport is fully transferrable among all the staff in a firm or organization. For only $1,920 + HST, the Organization PD Passport is fully can be used to attend any combination of half-day, one-day or two-day seminars that add up to six days of seminars (in person or online). Once purchased, a passport is captured as credit on an administrator’s account (assigned by your organization) at the PD Event Registration Portal , which can be used to register your staff for PD events. 2015 Passports are valid for courses taken up to December 31, 2015 and cannot be extended beyond their expiry date. Certificate, executive programs or conferences are not eligible for PD Passports unless specified on the registration page.

2016 Organization PD Passports may be purchased now for $1,980 + HST but are only valid for courses that take place between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016 (that is, you may purchase the passport now - in 2015, and register for programs taking place in 2016).

For all other PD events (including conferences, conventions, symposiums, certificate programs, executive programs, residential programs, etc.) pricing is listed alongside each even in the event registration portal.

How to Purchase a PD Passport

1. Visit the   PD Event Registration Portal Login Page   and login to your account.
2. Select “Passport Management” in the left navigation.
3. Select the type of passport you would like to purchase, personal or organization*.  Please ensure you select the correct passport year, based on the programs you will be registering for.
4. Follow the prompts to checkout and complete payment. The next time you register for an event, the credit remaining in your passport will be automatically applied to your purchase.

*Before you purchase an Organization PD Passport online, please email pd@cpaontario.ca to confirm your firm or organization is on file with CPA Ontario and to confirm an administrator within your organization to manage the passport.
