Melanie Russell is President of Kalex Valuations Inc., where her work includes business/asset valuations in a number of industries. She is also active in income valuations/determinations for matrimonial disputes, forensic investigations for civil or criminal matters, and fraud prevention and corporate control reviews.

Prior to joining Kalex Valuations Inc., Melanie served as Assistant Vice-president in the Financial Advisory Services Department at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP). Her experience also includes the position of Manager at Richter & Associates Inc. and Inspector in the Corporate & Investment Banking area of Toronto Dominion Bank.

Melanie has been qualified as an expert witness by the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario’s (ICAO) Discipline Committee, and the Investment Dealers’ Association. She has also taught at institutions including York University – Atkinson College and Schulich School of Business, the ICAO, the University of Toronto, and Ryerson Polytechnic University.
