The Institute’s involvement with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has a long history.

Our two organizations share much in common. We both share the commitment to keep Ontario competitive, where businesses thrive and innovation is rewarded. Our collective members value integrity in business practices and the highest standards that protect the public interests. It is for that reason that we partner with the Chamber on the following events. 

Outstanding Business Achievement Awards Dinner 

The Institute is proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of this annual celebration, which recognizes the fundamental qualities of excellence and achievement in the province’s business sector. The Corporate Governance Award is of particular importance to the CA profession, which the Institute has the honour to present each year. This award applauds excellence in achievements related to the promotion of corporate transparency and accountability. Under the auspices of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, this annual awards dinner brings together more than 1,000 business and political figures, key decision-makers and opinion leaders from across the province to celebrate business excellence in Ontario. 

Ontario Economic Summit

The Institute is a principal sponsor of the Chamber-lead Ontario Economic Summit (OES) which brings together some of the most successful and influential leaders from business, government, labour, NGOs, and academia in a collaborative effort to help build increased economic prosperity in Ontario.

As a gathering of influential and diverse leaders, the first principle of the OES is that priorities, actions and outcomes are shaped by participants at the annual Ontario Economic Summit. At this two-day event, invited leaders identify strategic priorities for the province. Partnerships and alliances are then formed through the OES Advisory Council to act on specific collaborative projects and initiatives throughout the year.
