Executive Programs - Limited Spaces Remaining for 2010 Schedule
A very limited number of spaces remain in our fall executive programs. Our executive programs offer in-depth training tailored to the various stages of your developing career. Registration is closing soon, so don’t delay if you wish to secure a spot. Programs with some spaces available include:
The Optimal Negotiator - November 28 – December 1
One skill today’s leaders must possess is the ability to get people to agree with them. Most assuredly in any undertaking of significance, whether personal or business related, knowing how to get others to accept your point of view while seeing themselves as winners is crucial to your success, if not the prosperity of your organization. Indeed, one cannot ever expect to ascend the corporate ladder without a sound grasp of the fundamental negotiating principles and nuances, or without the knowledge and skills to emulate those who consistently succeed. In this program you will learn a conceptual framework for negotiating win-win outcomes, tactics, behavioural patterns, and how to leverage human behaviour to your advantage. The Optimal Negotiator is an intensive, universally practical and highly interactive residential learning experience for those who are dead serious about wanting to develop their skills beyond mere competence.
The Master Strategist - November 14 – 17
Reacting to everyday demands and crises often leaves little time to continuously evaluate your organization’s strategy. This cutting-edge residential program provides you with a rare opportunity to step away from the pressures of work to join a group of peers and focus on what you and your organization need to do to excel in today’s competitive business environment. Learn frameworks for strategic thinking, why many strategic plans fail, techniques for staying on track, and how to position yourself as the Chief Strategy Officer of your company.
Becoming CEO (and Staying There): The Leader's Edge - November 21 – 24
Do you have the DNA of a CEO? Do you have the necessary job experience, emotional competencies, interpersonal skill sets, decision-making ability, practical insights and leadership style to make it to the top and stay there? This new residential program will help you discover the tools and “the edge” that gets you noticed as “the one.” But that is just the beginning of your journey. You will also gain an understanding of the demands and nuances of CEOdom that secures and ensures longevity at the top. Indeed, newly-minted CEOs may discover some beneficial insights and advice for thriving in the C-suite.
The Controllership Program – Management Competencies - October 24 – 27
The Controllership Program is the definitive program for new and experienced Controllers who wish to enhance and refresh their techniques, skills and knowledge. The Management Competencies program focuses on broader skill sets such as coaching, supervision, negotiation and presentation skills that are often overlooked in the midst of technical updates and month end requirements, but which are critical to your role as a leader in your company. Upon completion of this program and the Operational Skills component, participants will receive the Institute’s Controllership Program Certificate of Completion.
All of these programs are residential programs at White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
